Park Bom suspected of drug smuggling

Article: [Exclusive] Girl group 2NE1 Park Bom's drug smuggling 'pass'

Source
: Segye Ilbo via Naver

1. [+4,215, -110] The article's out now... I guess Roommate is busy editing the show now.

2. [+3,489, -176] Farewell Park Bom

3. [+2,966, -152] They need to investigate the other members too

4. [+2,673, -194] I was waiting for this article to come out

5. [+945, -40] Finally the article is out ㅋㅋ How did Park Bom live for the past four years in case she got caught ㅋㅋ

6. [+958, -70] Finally it's been revealed ㅋㅋ Now YG will be teased for doing music under the influence

7. [+912, -60] Just because the drugs were for treatment and are legal in America doesn't matter because they're illegal in Korea and she smuggled them in. The fact of the matter is that she was investigated for those matters. Don't try to shield her for this.

8. [+809, -44] To be subscribed 80 pills, the doctor had to have been nuts. The drugs are only prescribed to patients in extreme pain and are given in powder form in small amounts. And they prescribed her 80 pills? Is that a joke? Don't shield this unless you know what you're talking about.

1. [+7,259, -231] Drug smuggling... This is enough to exile her from the industry

2. [+5,996, -182] I thought she was an okay person, why did she do this... What a shame, I won't be able to see her on Roommate anymore.

3. [+5,242, -130] Ha, even Park Bom now.. They're all leaving..

4. [+4,420, -294] Why does it feel like Korea's on tilt lately..

5. [+1,625, -34] I'm more surprised that we're finding out about something that happened in 2010 only now

6. [+1,531, -39] If she's still addicted... I really hope she gets help. She always looked off her rocker.

7. [+1,459, -30] More shocked at the investigations that were swung in her favor...;; No joke...

8. [+1,424, -53] Why even go easy on her because she's from YG, as if that means anything ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Throw her in jail

-

Source: Naver

1. [+650, -37] She needs to retire from the industry. Doing drugs alone is an extreme crime but smuggling them in? If this was China, she'd be given the death sentence.

2. [+637, -33] Hul Park Bom, seriously daebak...

3. [+168, -14] So what was wrong with Bom wasn't her messed up plastic surgery but her drugs?

4. [+164, -11] Tomorrow's going to be a mess... I bet the Roommate members are in shock.

5. [+146, -11] Something's fishy with Naver... She was on the real time SNS search just a few minutes ago and now she's gone ㅎㅎ

-

Source: Nate [2]

1. [+584, -23] YG has been given a triple crowned with Psy, GD, and now Park Bom in drugs. Goosebumps.

2. [+463, -20] What's funny is that fans are still trying to shield this saying she was prescribed them in America and didn't know they were illegal in Korea ㅋㅋ Someone else who did the same thing at the same time was sentenced to jail ㅋㅋ She smuggled in 80 tablets~~

3. [+437, -14] Park Drugs

4. [+82, -2] ㅋㅋㅋ Pretty sure most people know that even Dara does drugs... YG's probably working to keep it on the down low. CL doing hookah is but the surface of the water~

5. [+62, -5] Just a year difference with GD's marijuana scandal ㅋㅋㅋ I'm sure there are others in YG doing drugs too ㅋㅋㅋ

6. [+300, -7] Take this opportunity to investigate all of the YG kids.

7. [+287, -9] Bye, Park Bom... Bye, YG... Bye, Roommate... Bye, 2NE1...

-

Article: Park Bom suspected of drug smuggling, YG reps, "We are checking"

Source:
TV Daily via Nate

1. [+129, -2] Checking = looking for excuses

2. [+118, -2] Checking what ㅋㅋㅋ As if they really didn't know?? Just be honest and say you're looking for a solution~

3. [+120, -5] Checking = offering money under the table, threatening law enforces. They buried something that happened in 2010 and they say now they're checking the truth? Don't anyone dare shield this. As if she didn't know because it's legal in America. So if someone brought a gun over to Korea, it'd be okay because it's legal in America but not here?

  17. Amphetamine.

    Could be speed.

Could be prescribed drug (illegal regardless).

Anyhow, what she did is illegal (assuming this report is true) no matter how you spin it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. but this was in 2010, i heard the drug was only legal til 2012. so there's no harm???????????

Idk, I've been prescribed 60 pills before. Pretty easy to mix prescriptions together. And these netizens clearly don't know what they're talking about because amphetamines are used for ADHD or narcolepsy issues. They're not used as pain medication

    ReplyDelete

  35. So are we all gonna ignore the fact news just broke about the government using charity money of the Sewol tragedy elsewhere? This is too much of a coincidence.

Looks like Park Bom was sacrificed to cover shit up, and sadly it seems to be working so far. Not the first time the Korean government does this either. Far from it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I know the comments from Knets would be like this!
As much as I'm YG stan & love Bom dearly, I need the truth!
It's too shocking to be believable but if this is true, I will take time to swallow it.

  65. It was coursed through INTERNATIONAL MAIL. Doesn't that mean that the contents were REGISTERED in the country of origin and is DECLARED in the country of destination? If customs says NO because it is prohibited inside the country, then, that is it. It's not like it was found inside her bra.

    ReplyDelete
  66. about religion things

    ReplyDelete
  67. I don't know what worries me more, the fact that Amphetamine is used for people with ADHD and/or Depression and that Bom needed a lot of pills for it or that this happened in 2010 and it's only now being brought up?? wtf?

I actually adore Bom so i hope this thing gets cleared up right away.

    ReplyDelete
  68. For stuff like badminton courts. It's fucking ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  101. But what about this thought?

This is an article from Soompi, many 2ne1 fans have been posting it around the bords..

    ----

YG Entertainment said they will take legal action against vicious rumor spreaders after2NE1’s Park Bom, Minzy, and Dara were recently involved in false drug scandals.

The false rumors first started spreading after E-Sens of Supreme Team was arrested for smoking marijuana a couple days ago. Shortly after his arrest, Korean press reported there was a black list of star celebrities who smoked pot in Korea and it would be made public soon. One of the names rumored to be on that list was Park Bom, and later the rumor grew into include other 2NE1 members too, as it quickly spread through Twitter and Facebook.

“Park Bom has absolutely nothing to do with that list. It’s completely false so we just didn’t pay any attention to the rumors. But people started taking it as the truth and so we decided to address the issue with harsh legal measures,” YGE said.

“The initial rumor-spreader is currently being investigated by the Korean cyber police. We will also file a defamation lawsuit against some of the Korean press that falsely reported on this without enough fact-checking,” YGE added.

Meanwhile, YGE has passed screening to go public on the KOSDAQ (Korean Securities Dealers Automated Quotations), a trading board of Korea’s stock market, and is expected to be listed by later this month. However, following recent drug scandals involving some of its top artists, YGE’s initial public offering is expected drop nearly 10%.

  102. Im sad to know this...her life might be so hard back then, i really hope she's recovered now :( but its still a crime :(

    ReplyDelete
  103. 150M KRW? That's $150,000. Wtf is wrong with this world. How much corruption is there exactly? Fuck, I wish Mars was inhabitable.

    ReplyDelete
  104. What, seriously?! And Koreans actually care more about someone like Park Bom than they do a big issue like gov't fraud?? God, priorities people.

    ReplyDelete
  105. it's not liked she smuggled those pills by putting inside her clothes while traveling from US to Korea.. the pills were delivered through international mails, then that doesn't mean she smuggled it right? she probably didn't know that in korea, it's illegal.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Yeah I think this is going to be a mess largely because of a lot of Koreans don't know anything about amphetamines. Like only powder? Huh?

    ReplyDelete
  107. OpparDoesntLoveYouJune 30, 2014 at 10:57 AM

Oh my god I can't believe this. I NEVER expected to see an article like this about anyone in 2ne1. My stomach dropped. I hope this isn't true...

    ReplyDelete
  108. You do realize that there are far more people that follow politics and entertainment in Korea, right?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Damn.. Just when I thought 2014 would completely be YG's year.

    ReplyDelete
  110. 3. [+2,966, -152] They need to investigate the other members too

    ReplyDelete
  111. everyone in KPop is most likely doing drugs. the stress there is insane. YG has been a bit careless & caught but I'm sure it's not only them...

    ReplyDelete
  112. 80 pills. No doctor would prescribe that much in one go, please. Now, it's more like to see if the new prosecutor will re-open the case.

    ReplyDelete
  113. no more daesang for 2ne1

    ReplyDelete
  114. It also can be used to treat nasal congestion and depression. I feel like the netizens are just reacting because of the name not the actual uses.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Well, I don't know about that as this screams governmental cover up but SM would surely benefit from it.

    ReplyDelete
  121. not about drugs but about music. so don't judge yg based on this drug scandal.

    ReplyDelete
  122. the reason why most artists who are depressed commits suicide, koreans are so fcking rude to them

    ReplyDelete
  123. NOOOOOO Bom!!!! This is unreal, I know BlackJacks joked about 2ne1 having a scandal, but not like this :/. Our favs are not safe, The big 3 already have some scandals on their hands, the mid tier companies are next

Prayer circle for our faves because we still got another 6 months of 2014 left and there's bound to me more mess uncovered .

    ReplyDelete
  124. That's why they throw celebrities under the bus whenever something scandalous about the government leaks. The sad truth is that Koreans care more about entertainers than things that directly affect them.

This is the case pretty much everywhere too though. Government are just loving these massive sport tournaments etc. People put so much passion in it that they don't care about anything else. Distraction is key.

    ReplyDelete
  125. As much as I love Bom, I wish this isnt true. But if it is, I wish she can get help.
I don't know what to believe in and i dont have right to judge without knowing the real events but I hope this wouldn't ruin 2NE1's career. Ughhhh

    ReplyDelete
  126. LOL no freaking way..

    ReplyDelete

I feel so bad for laughing.

    ReplyDelete

They are a real family, YG Family! XD

    ReplyDelete

No matter the excuse, I'm more surprised she was let go in 2010. Celebrity privileged and all, that's just wrong. What about those normal people who got caught?

    #prayforkpopforthenext6months

    ReplyDelete
  137. what if Bom do drugs???? There is nothing wrong with that.

    ReplyDelete
  138. good music is still good music

    ReplyDelete
  139. This scandal is on an other level tho.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Holy shit I thought this was all a rumor??

    ReplyDelete
  141. 80 pills?! Freaking hell. The legal amount is 30. That doctor needs to get their license revoked asap.

And asking for that many must mean she's addicted (or was) but with all that PS it would make sense since she'd be on a lot of painkillers and other drugs to heal quicker/numb the pain.

    This is a mess.

    ReplyDelete
  142. It could also be the nasal congestion pills you buy at the grocery store. Don't just assume based on the name of the drug that it's something bad. It could be anything.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Some do, some don't.

More folks follow politics than the showbiz, especially in the long term. Sure, it would distract say, the youngsters, but you're not going to find many people in say, their 30s or 40s that'll be distracted anywhere near close.

    ReplyDelete
  144. this is super frustrating. i hope this isn't true. but if it is, i will be disappointed of Bom. T_T like seriously...

    ReplyDelete
  145. I'm surprised of the fact that this issue was in 2010 and all the sudden, it's news in 2014. There's only one word I can think of 'corruption'. That is only valid if Bom was drug smuggling, otherwise, we might accuse the wrong person. As a fan, I do hope that she didn't do it though.

  146. i don't really care actually, i only wants YG's good songs...but.. if its ruined her health, i might not get YG 2NE1/BOM's good songs, if her reputation ruined what will happen to 2NE1? how i want to fulfil my craving for 2NE1 songs?? oh my.. im scared now.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I'm not a 2NE1 anti, but isn't it logical for the police to investigate the other members as well? They all work and travel together, so it's not something completely unreasonable.

    ReplyDelete
  148. If there was ever a clear case of fans shielding their idols......

"unnie didnt mean to do this" "she probably didnt know that smuggling drugs into her own country was illegal..."

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yep, amphetamines are stimulants and aren't conventionally used as pain killers. I wish they specified what kind of amphetamines she tried to smuggle. There's obviously a difference between Adderall and MDMA.

I really am scared for the other girls fate. I am scared that 2ne1 will not be able to continue. Goshh

    ReplyDelete
  151. Can't even compare tbh. This one... even if it's proven false can already damage one's career. Drug dealing is bad and not only someone saying something controversial.

    ReplyDelete
  152. someone talking about conspiracy theory to distract public attention on AKP.

    ReplyDelete
  153. so she has narcolepsy or adhd and she needed to smuggle pills from the US for that?

    ReplyDelete
  154. Damn :/ that's fucked up.

    ReplyDelete
  155. honestly, when I this title, I kinda expecting this comment:
    2. [+3,489, -176] Farewell Park Bom

so.... they are going to send farewell to everyone........

    ReplyDelete
  156. not a big fan but wat the hell.........why so sudden ?! i started liking them and now tis !

    ReplyDelete
  157. Makes me think she could have also been involved in the Propofol scandal but that was also swept under the rug.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I think JYPs scandal is pretty major too. This drugs candal seems shady to me though tbh

    ReplyDelete
  159. That report literally had no basis tho so YG threatened to sue and that shut them up. And that was in 2011, this current scandal says the smuggling occurred in 2010.

    ReplyDelete
  160. 2NE1 & Drugs is a big NO; from BIG BANG wouldn't be a surprise tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  161. yg stans suddenly become a lawyer and doctor lol

    ReplyDelete
  162. came out in 2010..now brought up again..hmm really now

    ReplyDelete
  163. myoppadidntmeanitJune 30, 2014 at 11:02 AM

    I was just joking hehe

    ReplyDelete
  164. If it did happen i feel sorry for bom but yeah the timing of this being released is way to convenient

    ReplyDelete
  165. That's irrelevant to the situation. Fact of the matter is that every time a huge controversy erupts involving one or more entertainers (be it idols, actors or otherwise), something scandalous about the government leaks. This has been the case for the last couple years now and i've personally witnessed it time and time again. This is not a coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  166. it obviously wasn't because it said it was a prescription

    ReplyDelete
  167. Idk what to say. http://25.media.tumblr.com/85e85e6c888e6cd340ca6aca41ba596c/tumblr_mji9p05g6F1rcny7ko1_500.gif

  168. even if she is a sacrifies, doesnt make it less true......*if it is*

    ReplyDelete
  169. Nothing wrong with that? Wow. Besides ruining your life and worry sick the ones you love... Well, i dont know about you, but that's pretty serious. lol

    ReplyDelete
  170. That would be the day I lost hope in humanity....seriously

    ReplyDelete
  171. i wouldn't be so sure... most of artists use some kind of drugs :3

    ReplyDelete
  172. omg Bom would cry from just a encouragement from seho's mom, i'm worry how she will respond to these things

    ReplyDelete
  173. Me too. I thought 2014 will be kind to 2ne1 but fuck shit's going down right now.

    ReplyDelete
  174. i saw on korean pann, they said it was a cover up of TOP and krystal so bizzare. lol, but probably a cover up of sewol fund incidents.

    ReplyDelete
  175. that's one of the way to obtain illegal drugs. like, If you are prescribed a certain amount of drugs (thus legally), you can use that prescription to oder from different places thus acquiring way more than it's legal... Idk, why they are re visiting the case in 2014 when it was looked over in 2010 (so maybe it's nothing much) but she can't possibly not know.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I honestly felt like the string of snsd scandals was a bit weird because it seemed like SM didn't even try to cover it up. Now this happened after YG already covered it up and buried it..........the government is going into overdrive right now with their bullshit

    ReplyDelete
  177. myoppadidntmeanitJune 30, 2014 at 11:03 AM

I know, right?! Maybe, maybe, if the rumour is proven real, YG should just kick her out of 2ne1.

    ReplyDelete
  178. so much hate for her
so much hate for some SM artists
damn is this a revolution coming to kpop this year O_o

    ReplyDelete
  179. I wouldn't be surprised if many idols consume drugs to keep their spirit or keep them awake. Just look at how they are overworked almost everyday and the amount of stress they received.

    ReplyDelete
  180. 2014 is a mess :/

    ReplyDelete
  181. today in my country is still June 30th, the first half of 2014 hasn't ended but the scandals................................................................ omg.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Don't bring SME into this. This is a strict YGE matter.

    ReplyDelete
  183. I love 2ne1. My stomach dropped when I read the title. I was like wtf 2ne1? Park Bom? Really?! like seriously? Oh God...I wonder what's gonna happen.

    ReplyDelete
  184. It's illegal to take pills for stuffed noses?
The pills could literally be anything. We don't know. It doesn't say. I'm not trying to shield her, but we have no idea of what the pills are or could be used for, there isn't enough information.

    ReplyDelete
  185. no, that's discrimination? like how people say all people who goes get welfare should be drug tested.
    that's stereotyping & not fair.
just because a minority or majority does it, it all sudden means that the others are too? no

    ReplyDelete
  186. You've got to be kidding me

    ReplyDelete
  187. YG has drunk drug sex scandals but no one give a fuck. SM has Taeyeon & Baekhyun scandal and the world is going down. KPOP IS HILLARIOUS.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Anyone is pressumes innocent unless proven guilty..got it? Wait for the results of the investigation first before judging her and btw who are we to judge her? Don't act as if you haven't done anyhthing wrong in your whole life. Know the real story first.

    ReplyDelete
  189. I'm already feeling disgusted @ some commenters here obviously rejoicing at the fact that this scandal can potentially bring 2NE1 down.

Grats on finally getting those rankings and sales. More power.
