Stellar holds their comeback showcase

Article: Stellar, the desperation and genuine feelings behind their sexiness

Source: 10asia via Naver

1. [+1,410, -74] I doubt they actually want to be like this... it's the industry's fault for only the most provocative concepts getting fame

2. [+1,401, -249] There's no desperation in them at all, they should be showing their talent in singing ㅡㅡ what's a singer going to do with provocative concepts... although I'm all for the spread leg dance and all ㅋㅋ

3. [+1,015, -48] You have to use sex as a product to get in the headlines and earn popularity... an unfortunate reality of our music industry.

4. [+826, -43] I still remember the Kukak girl from 1N2D being so pretty..

5. [+159, -9] No one gave a crap about Stellar when they debuted with a cute concept and only started getting their name known and their songs played on the street when they came out with a sexy concept with 'Marionette'. Then they did another non-sexy concept and got forgotten. So of course their company's going to stick with a sexy concept for them. The kids are already under contract so it's not like they have a say in what they can do. The public is the one showing interest in sexy concepts so it's ironic how it's also the public giving them hate for resorting to sexy concepts..

6. [+125, -11] They were so cute during 'UFO'... but of course, they never got popular for it. Then they stripped down for 'Marionette' and started getting invites and attention.. I don't blame their agency. I doubt the kids want to be like this either.. they're already under contract and probably can't afford the termination fee so they have to do what they're told. It's really sad.

7. [+121, -23] As an unni, I just feel bad for them.. that they have to resort to this.. and still not get any popularity.. *pat pat*

8. [+117, -20] I wonder if they're really willing to resort to this to remain a girl group member???

Article: 'Comeback' Stellar, "We're grateful for the controversy over our exposure... we'll be showing without fear"

Source: TV Report via Naver

1. [+175, -18] I feel bad for them. No one cared about them when they didn't strip. So hard to live and put food on the table.

2. [+176, -28] If my daughter ever says she wants to be a celebrity and resorts to concepts like this, I'll shave her head

3. [+148, -28] I really don't know why they think this is anything to be bragging about

4. [+128, -22] Can they really be called singers at this point?? They're going to be showing their exposure without fear?? I think it's time they found new jobs...

5. [+26, -5] I searched them up and it's been 4 years since they debuted. For a small agency, they probably don't know what to do with them except anything and everything and see what works since they already invested in them and haven't made anything back.

These words kind of made me feel bad. They might really be willing of getting popular and succeeding for talking like this with no shame :/ I really feel bad for them, although I actually support each of their comebacks.

  2. That Blonde girl and Orange-Blonde(?) girl is rocking their hairstyles! It looks really nice one them!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Lucky them. People don't give insult comments. Unfortunately other sexy girl groups always get hate because of their concept

    ReplyDelete
  4. These comments are refreshingly understanding.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I only know that eric from shinhwa is the one who produced them

    ReplyDelete
  6. Say what you want but their music is flawless! Since hooking up with Sweetune/G-High on Study they've been on fire, one amazing song after the next.

I'm also glad to see Stellar back in the news so much! Their media play is working. Marionette era 2.0 here we come!

    ReplyDelete
  7. They have potential, I'm pretty sure of it. Hopefully they become more well-known, but I don't think they will if they follow this path...

    bless this tbh. some ppl are all like "a singer should be singing, not stripping!!" but when they actually do sing/not do a sexy concept no one remembers them, it's sad. sex sells and that's just how it is. anyway i wish them the best of luck and i hope they can get more popular now ;;;

  9. I clicked the link expecting netizens hate comments again, but I'm really glad to see the opposite.

  10. the korean music industry is flooded with hundreds of rookies, new singers and new bands. It's tough to get recognition unless you're from a big agency or you hit luck like EXID did.
you can't blame girl groups for using desperate measures to get some exposure. They practically trained their life for this.

    ReplyDelete
  11. 수호의 마음July 20, 2015 at 1:45 AM

They're actually very lucky. Hundreds of nugu groups are buried and there's not so much as a peep towards them. They're lucky for an unknown and struggling group.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I need another Marionette

    ReplyDelete
  13. The second pic with the full on leg spread is a bit much. And it is a pity that Stellar is group that only gets attention over how provocative they can get :/ At the same time though their good songs didn't really come until they had the sexy concept. So if they could just get good songs w/o the sexy concept they could get somewhere and maybe develop a fandom that isn't full of pity for them.

I'ts a reality of the industry but it's really sad how desperate they are that they are grateful for the controversy over their concept ... :/ The fact that getting attention for revealing moves is something to marvel about is....

    ReplyDelete
  14. Umm wat. The last article they got tons of hate for their mv teaser.

    ReplyDelete
  15. no they got a lot of hate but I think now people just feel bad for them. their music is really good

    ReplyDelete
  16. If only everyone had that kind of mindset

    ReplyDelete
  17. Are they talented?? I'm not trying to hate I'm just curious because I remember there first song too and there wasn't anything special. is the company really the ones making them do this because there a ton of other groups who keep trying and don't do this. I'm sorry I'm trying to understand can someone explain it to me??

    ReplyDelete
  18. I saw fancam's of their which get more than 500K+ views some even 1.5M views on youtube. but unfortunately the fancams are uploaded by their fans not them. if they did they could have earned so much money from youtube partnership. youtubers are so thirsty almost all these sexy group fancams get so much views.

Bratz being relevant in all the cards life deals us.. It's so unfortunate that (a music) industry must be so saturated that it becomes a competition not just with yourself, but the people you grow up with, see everyday, meet, just so you can have 5 minutes of fame.that you will jave to work twice as hard from.before to even last 10..

    ReplyDelete
  20. somethingsomething1234July 20, 2015 at 1:48 AM

Not the MV, costumes or dance though.. Hope you're referring only to the song.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh man, I really like their music and i feel so bad for them having to say this when somehow I can just feel that it hurts them to say it. That couldnt have been easy for them to say. They Finally got recognition off doing these types of things instead of their voices and they have come to realize that they have to just endure these types of concepts if they want to stay relevant. Prayers for their strength.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have no negative words for Stellar and sincerely hope they can do well in the future.

Just how much they have sacrifice for fame...
Stellar i hope you'll get what you want..fighting

    ReplyDelete
  24. if you want the attention by showing your skin at least do it with a good song so when people come to see the mv they will realize how talented you are

    ReplyDelete
  25. Even he kind of backed away from their image though. During Marionette he made it clear that he had no part in the concept because the reception was that bad.

    ReplyDelete
  26. people sympathised with exid because they sympathise with them but once they knew they are here to stay and are a threat to their favs people turned against them. if this group becomes famous people will do the same with them but who cares u still got fans

    ReplyDelete
  27. the mv was a bit much but the song was really good. they're probably go that route though cuz it got them so much publicity last time

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's a hard life out there. :(

    ReplyDelete
  29. Is it bad that I actually like these outfits?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dunno if u guys have listened to the song yet but let me tell u, whether u will like the MV or not, the song is a jam for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Their first releases were nothing really special so it makes sense that they weren't really making waves in the industry. But Marionette was actually a good song. It just got overshadowed by the concept

    ReplyDelete
  32. Glad to see they're actually fairly understanding for once. I want to hear the song tbh, I was trying not to spoil myself but their albums have been on point.

"2. [+176, -28] If my daughter ever says she wants to be a celebrity and resorts to concepts like this, I'll shave her head."

    That's....not okay omg

    ReplyDelete
  33. the market was too over saturated

    ReplyDelete
  34. Those are Minhee and Hyoeun they are always styled the best (or atleast to me because I have a hard time telling Gayoung and Jeonyul apart sometimes)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Also wanna say their bodies are amazing, especially Minhee and Gayoung.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Well I don't blame the guy .... From a parent's eye imaging their young daughter growing up to wear clothes with racy slits and spread their legs for attention is a little scary...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Fingers crossed for this comeback.

    ReplyDelete
  38. They rlly changed a lot after Eric left to be their producer

    ReplyDelete
  39. No way, their outfits are on point as usual. They're pretty slept on bc people only wanna shame them for being sexy, but their music/talent/looks/outfits are ALWAYS gold.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah but shaving their head is a bit much.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Wow! 4 years I thought they debuted last year. That 2nd pic of the girl with her legs spread like that is to much.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Watch the video please, its not sexy at all. The pics that the journalist upload is a very bit (like 0.1 sec) of the dance. Its not like they spreading their legs all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  43. 'Rocket Girl' was a mess, also had different members. Listen to UFO/Study which has the current line-up.

They're pretty good now like they can all sing live and stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  44. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO3L2xcFaw4 Here's the performance btw.

    ReplyDelete
  45. It's so true tho and people are such hypocrites. They bitch about sexy concepts, but never even cared or noticed said group until they did something like what STELLAR did. AOA is a prime example too. Girl groups rely on sexy concepts and super pure 15-year old innocent concepts and people eat this shit up. The public loves what AOA does and what Apink does. Two sides of the same coin.

    ReplyDelete
  46. It's so good I'm screaming

    ReplyDelete
  47. It's so annoying bc there's this one part in the choreo that's super hard and they're doing it in heels...it's like a one-legged push up. Yet they focused on the one second with their legs spread = =

    ReplyDelete
  48. I just listened to the song and I'm not even a big fan of the group but they might have just won the summer girl group battle. Definitely the most instantly likeable and bearable song out of all the girl group comebacks. Beats AOA, SNSD, and etc.

    ReplyDelete
  49. funny that some cases are idols being the 'slaves' of public/fans, doing whatever the public/fans want for money. and other cases are fans being 'slaves' of their idols, doing this and that to rise their idols and/or buying this and that for idols. some even do unnecessary things to get their idols' attention like those fans who like to throw things to stage like underwears or such...

    ReplyDelete
  50. minhee looks like a barbie so pretty.

    ReplyDelete
  51. The song actually sounds so good~ can't wait for a studio version.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Best oppar is food opparJuly 20, 2015 at 2:02 AM

    idk how to react for a second, like they're grateful that they got attention for showing off their bodies ;;

    ReplyDelete
  53. Seriously they basically said " thank you for thinking our concept is inappropriate because it's the most attention we've ever had." :/
    Sad.

    ReplyDelete
  54. http://perfect-affection.tumblr.com/post/124542702038 it's such great production quality

    ReplyDelete

For those to lazy to look for it themselves lol

    ReplyDelete
  56. The songs could kick my ass everyday!!

I would dare the wrath of other fandoms but it kicks the ass other recent comeback songs.

    ReplyDelete
  57. They have really good releases though.

I mean Mask and now Vibrato are A level songs IMO

    ReplyDelete
  58. Why should they feel ashamed though? Embarrassed maybe...uncomfortable okay...but ashamed?

    ReplyDelete
  59. AH~~ thank u~ this sounds so much better. Definitely like this song and the fact that Jeonyul sings too is gold~~ lol I always did like her voice/rapping.

    ReplyDelete
  60. They're wearing no less than most of the girl groups promoting right now. There is so much sexual innuendo(and sexuality in general) in kpop so I don't know why they get so much hate. I don't see what is wrong with WOMEN using their sexuality to promote their music and Stellar have damn good music at that! I for one am appreciative that Stellar have done their best to build off of their momentum when many groups gain a little bit of popularity, wait too long for their next release, and then end up disbanding. Vibrato is a BOP and a half so if you're sensibilities are offended then just listen to the song...you'll be glad you did.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm so angry because the song is great but all the attention is going to be on whatever shock tactics their company has put into that MV, which just from the previews looks really exploitative and male-gazey.
I'm glad these netizens get it for the most part.Sex sells and the girls pretty much have no choice if they want to get ahead.
Their company and CEO can go choke on a bag of dicks though.Sleazy bastards

    ReplyDelete
  62. Of course the MV is risque, but what they're wearing for the showcase is downright tame in comparison to some other girl groups.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm right there with you, this is one of the strongest girl group summer releases.Love the 80's throwback sound, we haven't heard that from any group in a while

    ReplyDelete
  64. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOmTdFpIDX8 VIDEO!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Shawol the dinosaurJuly 20, 2015 at 2:11 AM

I didn't really pay attention to the actual video of the mv, but damn I really love the song.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I just listened to their new song from their showcase.
It's actually very interesting and I like it already.
WOW....who knows, maybe 9muses, Stellar and Hellovenus might actually have the best summer gg songs!!
Sexy concept or not, as long as the song is good, I will support them.
    Fighting!

P.S I watched their showcase, they probably have the longest safe pants among all the GG showcase!

    ReplyDelete
  67. i watched a member focused fancam earlier and honestly the choreo is a mess when you really focus on it bc theres so many parts that are cringe-worthy lmao

    ReplyDelete
  68. It has such a crisp incredible electro sound i would have never imagines a sound like that from girl groups.

I mean I've heard a few other songs but Stellar went really hard with the beat.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Tbh even what they're wearing in the MV is tame.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I loved their song marionette and i'm not disappointed with this new song. It very refreshing. It's just sad these days there are so many talented people in the industry but they get buried because of their company.

    ReplyDelete
  71. This video is really good and they look SO good.

    ReplyDelete
  72. the song sounds good even though I need the trans of the lyrics hehehe but the choreo is not really my taste, will stick to the audio...

    ReplyDelete
  73. Exactly at least they're upfront about it. People who stan groups like APink, Gfriend, Oh My Girl, etc. want to pretend they're not sexualized in some way. Please. And Stellar has already made peace with it, they're confident at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yeah, it is. Maybe nothing phases us anymore, who knows?

    ReplyDelete
  75. This could've (should've) been 9muses comeback song, and the rap would've went hard. But I'm glad another group I really love got it.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It's all relative :P I'm always shocked that um...Apink for that one thing wore tight bootycut overalls and never got called for it.

    ReplyDelete
  77. They're just repeating what their company told them to say.

    ReplyDelete
  78. in their country their are things that not easily accepted. and they have families who maybe don't like the fact that their daughters are exposing their bodies to the public like that.

    ReplyDelete
  79. MV is out~

  80. MV IS OUT

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOmTdFpIDX8&feature=youtu.be

    ReplyDelete
  81. Vibrato is really an awesome song. I personally don't see how Stellar is different from other girl groups in terms of exposure but their songs are really good. "Guilty" is one of my favorites, give it a listen, it won't disappoint you.

    ReplyDelete
  82. My parents will kill me if i wore short shorts outside of the house.....

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yeah this is smthg that these western fans dont understand.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Yeah it's such a good song but I had to watch the mv when no one was around bc it was so sexual

    ReplyDelete
  85. No I understand that bit and maybe I misunderstood the comment, but "succeeding for talking like this with no shame" is the OP saying that they should feel shame not the korean public.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Like the MV is so sexual they were humping the ground at one point and I was cringing but it was such a good song.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oh okay. I thought you were saying they should express shame.

    ReplyDelete
  88. From what I understand, Stellar got the most hate, now to the point people started to feel bad for them.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Stellar has more exposure and overtly sexual dance moves + good music which set them apart from other girl groups.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Yeah that one part was too much because it looked like they were just wearing underwear. The whole video had them wearing bras and panties or the dress with the high slit. And most of the time the girls were caught at awkward inappropriate angles... Plus a lot of symbolism hinting at a certain lady part

    ReplyDelete
  91. lol u wish sure not snsd plus the queens didn't finish the slaying crisis wait little more pray for poor sones to survive and tell their story to their grandchildren

    ReplyDelete
  92. you mean the part where they're humping the floor?

    ReplyDelete
  93. ...... wtf i ain't watching this porno the picture alone scares me ...

    ReplyDelete
  94. what are you even saying lol

    ReplyDelete
  95. The Mv had a few parts that were too much. And honestly they had no hint of embracing sexuality or whatever but rather desperation and an uncomfortable concept.
Good song, but the MV looked kind of degrading at parts. Not trying to be a hater

    ReplyDelete
  96. read my commment and u will know unless your blind ..

    ReplyDelete
  97. Well in my opinion, stellar shld feel ashamed of being am exhibitionist and korean public for having someone like them. But again,my opinion is just a personal opiniok, right? Its their body, not mine. Not like I will stan them lmfao

    ReplyDelete
  98. i would wear this 2 the grocery store for real

    ReplyDelete
  99. What the fuck?

    ReplyDelete
  100. i did but still don't understand what are you getting at?

    ReplyDelete
  101. i feel bad for them ;_;

    ReplyDelete
  102. then u need extra english lessons

    ReplyDelete
  103. [+176, -28] If my daughter ever says she wants to be a celebrity and resorts to concepts like this, I'll shave her head

Your daughter is a person, not your property, so screw you. If she wants to do a concept like this, that's her body, her business

    ReplyDelete
  104. i don't think you're one to tell that to anyone lol

    ReplyDelete
  105. whats your problem ? if u don't like my comment just scroll down duhh

    ReplyDelete
  106. SNSD hasn't slayed anything since 2009 babe

    ReplyDelete
  107. i have to agree with you, since there are many comments here not considering k-netz POV when it comes to bashing females for skin exposing.
even from where i am people give harsh comments about women (from our country) for walking around exposing her body but never give comment when they see a women from another country.
it is their believes and their traditions.

    ReplyDelete
  108. i was clearly talking about sones plz read my comment again and plz tell your poor oppas to sing live instead of lip syncing

    ReplyDelete
  109. Saying on TV you eat a meal per day is a diet, is praise worthy but saying you'd strip if necessary to live and eat is something to be ashamed for

    ReplyDelete
  110. bcoz they need being notice.., therefore people would curious about their comeback.,

i think this mean., they want to make their exposure to become their strength.., they were not wishy washy about this concept.,

    ReplyDelete
  111. The song is good and is not forgettable at all, it's catchy but for the MV I think there's nothing left that could be possibly shown to the public lol you know like, they went hard? with those scenes and suggestive images and movements but overall it was fine.

    ReplyDelete
  112. 1. [+1,410, -74] I doubt they actually want to be like this... it's the industry's fault for only the most provocative concepts getting fame

It's not the industry fault. It's the consumer fault. It's always consumer fault. Stupid tv show on national channels? consumer fault. Sexy dance performed by bunch of young girls? consumer fault. Idols dominating 'quality music show that used to promote non-idol'? easy ..... consumer faults.

Lest not forget ... the very first and basic economic law is When there's demand; there's supply. So the industry is only doing their jobs. Fulfilling what people really want. Wearing revealing clothes, singing a song that filled with sexual innuendo, and dancing the shit of their crotch, ass and boobs is genius marketing. Yes it may be ambiguous and can't be seen clearly by common people. But that's how thing works. Money talks after all.

    ReplyDelete
  113. no problem, i was just confused by your original comment. but nevermind, i think i finally got it :D

    ReplyDelete
  114. Oh look a saint in NB

    ReplyDelete
  115. oh good for u ^^

    ReplyDelete
  116. i felt the same way. it wasn't sexy at all to me. esp the uh..private parts imagery was creative but that's all the credit i can give them >> song was good though.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I wouldn't like to expose myself like this (but this is a personal opinion). What I mean by "no shame" is how the Korean public response is not good toward groups that go for this concept. I personally like them, but exposing like this would be kind of embarrassing for me.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I live in a country where females (and even males!) exposing their body could get the whole nation disrespect you.Western fans can say "Oh its okay blablabla" *insert some feminazis here* and blame the koreans for giving a damn abt exposure.LET ME REMIND YOU...THIS IS NOT AMERICA OR EUROPE OR ANYTHING.IT IS ASIA.SOUTH KOREA

    ReplyDelete
  119. Costumer's fault. Exactly. TV only gives costumers what they want, so at the end of the day, is the public's likes what people watch on TV.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Who are my oppas lmao?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Exactly! What makes me love them even more is the fact that they've made their peace and are embracing it. At the end of the day it's about the music and they haven't released a single dud since they've debuted imo. People just need to stop getting hung up on the trivial stuff like what they're wearing, it really isn't important.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Not my cup of tea. And i don't think the mv is that bad tho. It's pretty tame.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Who lip synce in every damm performance other than exo ... the dancing group lol

    ReplyDelete
  124. Why can't people just mention the video is mature then?? I mean I could understand the parents caring for their daughters. But why can't people use the argument that it's mature?

So because it's a different culture we are supposed to shoot down their efforts and start calling them slut, cheap, trash, denigrating, shameful??

    ReplyDelete
  125. Hi i came from heaven last night how are u 😶👼👼👼

    ReplyDelete
  126. maybe the can try Mask Best Singer for shocking revelation

    ReplyDelete
  127. frame this comment and pin it after every click bait article complaining about sexy concepts.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Well parents should raise their child to be so close minded they wouldn't even think about doing things like this.

    ReplyDelete
  129. No one called them slut, cheap, trash, denigrating, shameful here. I only said that seeing them talking about exposure like this with no shame made me feel bad for them. I'm glad they at least are confident enough with their bodies and how they're exposing themselves this much in a society that doesn't allow this kind of things. But for my personal opinion, it makes me feel bad.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Uhhh yeah they are look at the comments lol. Just because they aren't outright using words like "whores and sluts" doesn't mean they aren't implying really problematic things.

I mean I get that in South Korea they are more conservative and this things are clearly mature. I could see their concern about young people being exposed to this. But why must people resort to shaming the girls to prove a point?

What do you mean with "no shame"? Beucase it low key sounds like there SHOULD BE shame.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Exo aren't my oppas, I don't even stan them, lmao. Kai's my DP because I'm too lazy to change it. And yeah, exo lip syncs, it's not like I'm afraid to admit it. Honestly, though are you a troll? If you are you are a very good one and I wish to acquire your skills someday.

    ReplyDelete

  133. all the "i doubt they want to be like this" is irritating. you don't say that when exo and sj do their pelvic and hip thrusts. you don't say that when uniq and history are lifting up their shirts. you don't say that when 2pm is showing off their butts...but when women get sexual it's all "they are being forced to do it. they're aren't the least bit happy to do it". i'm not saying they are. but some men could not enjoy being sexualized and some women could enjoy being sexy

    ReplyDelete
  134. Because starving girls is acceptable but girls embracing their sexuality is not.

  136. People just remember them wearing the thongs in their teaser picture.

But in the video they weren't using thongs. And in the showcase they were using short short like any other girl groups.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Meanwhile oppar just have to look good and dance cute. But really, there's not much different from some other popular girl group.

    ReplyDelete

These netizens are right. Basically every girl group that is known for their sexy concepts were ignored when they did cute concepts, got famous with sexy concepts, and started to be bashed by the same people who ignored them.

  139. I'm just confused that some people are agreeing that it's a shame the girls are getting exploited to survive in the industry but at the same time supporting that exploitation by glorifying it and calling it empowering or a strong message...

  140. Errrmm... It is a common deal in asian countries. Parents really really control their children moreover if their children a girl :/

    I can't blame the parent.

  141. woahhh I didn't realize they were so young.. I thought they were all in their mid-to-late 20s. Two of the girls are 93'ers and one is 94'er. To compare, IU is a 93'er and Krystal is a 94'er. o.o

    ReplyDelete
  145. we as i-fans should respect and understand k-netz pov when they give harsh comments, and if they were ashamed then i understand them but if they were not, then i'm glad they have this confident with their bodies.

  147. regardless of what people say, there isn't a girl group that can compete with boy groups like SNSD can... even if you want to deny it... They really are on a different level, even after their drop in popularity, they're still going~~ comparing them to AOA and APink is like comparing GG to Finkl... you just don't do it~~

i actually don't mind if her annoyed face is because she wasnt feeling well or just bcs she has attitude problem. but, she is the leader right? i think a little help to her members to perform well is not hard for her. didn't she think about all members who worked hard and all out for the performance.
i'm sure not everyone in group always feeling good as well while they are on stage, but none of them got such a issue right?
why become a performer if you can't perform properly. moreover, why became a leader if you can't become an example for your members.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yep. 'm just confused that some people are agreeing that it's a shame the girls are getting exploited to survive in the industry but at the same time supporting that exploitation by glorifying it and calling it empowering or a strong message...Like not sure if it can be both.

  153. it's true that her smiles looked forced and her facial expressions looked a bit off. but she still gave her all. she performed the dance well. knetz accuse that she's being lazy but i didnt see that at all. she just looked... sad?

    ReplyDelete
  154. 1. [+1,410, -74] I doubt they actually want to be like this... it's the industry's fault for only the most provocative concepts getting fame

Isn't it actually the general public that's to blame? People paid them no attention before so they switched to this concept to get attention and it's clearly working. If they had gotten attention before they probably wouldn't be in this situation.

    ReplyDelete
  155. and if she tried to explain that she's tired or anything else, knetz would be like ''well you have money, you wanted to be a singer, so you aren't in a position to be complaining'' -_-

    ReplyDelete
  156. What do you expect? She as a 18/19 year old is not going to be full comfortable pretending to be married to someone almost double her age

    ReplyDelete
  157. I agree that idols are human too and that they have good and bad days but since they are pro, esp. for 9-10 y.o idol like Taeyeon, she should at least act happy for that 3 minute and avoid these kind of controversy. That's kinda like a given job description for being an idol.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I was so surprised at that comment?? I watched it live and again recorded and again with subs and they only ever asked Tiffany and Minah to do it lmao. None of the other memebers did it either except for Tiffany but obviously bc it's Taeyeon, people are going to twist it and use it as a reason to hate.

THANK YOU NETIZEN. They were a HUGE FLOP with Rocket Girl & UFO and then they came back with Study by netizens didn't even care and they had somehow to attract attention in 2014 because it was already their 3rd year into the industry...their CEO even said that if Marionette does not go good, they could even disband. So why blame the girls? At last they get what they need: exposure. If everybody was that offended they wouldn't even care but since they see that this concept works of course their company would milk it till the last drop.

  171. Sex sells...simple as that.

  172. Y'all leave her alone.Being idol doesn't mean she's a robot ffs. She tried to hide her emotions from stage but it didn't work. It happens even to the best actors. Although we don't really know if she was sad anyways

    ReplyDelete
  173. You sound like you belong on allkpop so please go back. Fans like you have to realize that their idols are prone to criticisms & often people genuinely feel that they are deserving of that criticism. And no idc enough to want snsd to go down or whatnot, i just think she looks less energetic & enthusiastic than the members. So grow up will you

  180. I think the admin of NB has made clear that they only translate articles that get the BUZZ... normally people would understand that just by looking at the website name. This is not a news portal, this is a website where you read news that get tons of comments from K-netizen. Either because it's controversial or actually trending.

If you want to read all kind of news, go to news portal like Soompi or something.

    ReplyDelete
  181. It may be something to be ashamed of in your opinion, but for them it is their reality, and they're confident in themselves so who are you to judge. And wtf is with praising unhealthy diets? Starving yourself hurts your body. You lose energy and vitamins. Your body starts breaking down muscle for energy. Your body is more prone to sickness. Your organs can shut down if anorexia gets severe. There are so many bad things I could write about starvation as a diet.

    ReplyDelete
  182. The gif lasted for about 3-5 seconds, maybe even less. What the fuck are these people talking about lol. She was fine. Even if she wasn't, I mean...they're always so busy, so of course off days are inevitable. Why are they focusing so much on a short screen grab when she performed really well most of the time?

    ReplyDelete
  183. I actually knew STELLAR since Minhee and Hyoeun joined but I used to think they were horrible not because they were cute but music their sound was so... unremarkable. I think they found the image and sound that suits them best with Marionette but the culture they live in isn't ready for idols like them so it will be hard for them to rise.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Seriously STOP TRYING TO ANALYZE HER LIKE SHE'S SOME KIND OF EXPERIMENT. STOP DEHUMANIZING HER. YOU'RE BEING FUCKING RUDE.

I've had it with y'all and Taeyeon. Leave her the fuck alone, get a life or a hobby!

    ReplyDelete
  185. "we're grateful for the controversy over our exposure...."
