BoA's 'Make Your Move' doesn't do well in the box office

Article: BoA's 'Make Your Move', bitter results at the box office in both Korea and America

Source:
TV Daily via Nate

1. [+1,044, -75] They barely promoted it and didn't get it in many theaters, on top of the ferry accident... The movie itself doesn't look fun and BoA's not great at acting so it was bound for failure.

2. [+927, -67] I wouldn't necessarily blame it on the ferry accident... It never looked like it was going to do well.. ㅋ

3. [+219, -42] So 57 theater goers a day? Total 9,000? ㅋㅋ I think any idol concert could total twice that amount in a day.

4. [+90, -34] I doubt anyone actually thought the movie would do well. Is she really going to do another movie 'Big Match'? Please stop. Why ruin such a good line up.

5. [+89, -35] Honestly, I wouldn't watch it even if I got tickets for free because it looks like a waste of time.

6. [+82, -34] ㅋㅋㅋ From start to finish, even when dancing, she only has one facial expression ㅋㅋ and her English is so embarrassing. Her character's a Japanese gyopo so her Japanese was fine but who is her coordi? Her stature doesn't fit baggy pants. And towards the half of the movie, I kept noticing this ajusshi dancing and he looked familiar and it turned out to be TVXQ Yunho......

7. [+71, -34] Who would watch it ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

8. [+66, -33] Even without the accident, the movie would never have been a box office hit...

  2. the fuck you calling yunho an ahjussi

    ReplyDelete
  3. Well it's a dance movie, it was expected. There isn't any interesting plot in those kind of movies.

    ReplyDelete
  4. LMAO AHJUSSI YUNHO KNET PLS

    ReplyDelete
  5. cos the movie itself didn't look like something to look forward to :/

    ReplyDelete
  6. uhhh... because dance movies are so out of the trend

    ReplyDelete
  7. even without the accident, this movie was going to fail.....

    LOL,,,,, is Yunho unrecognizable?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Wow, I didn't see this coming!

    It was really obvious

    ReplyDelete
  12. The SM curseeeeeeeeee

But honestly, with such cheesy plot, who would want to watch it

    ReplyDelete
  13. 57 theater goers a day? Awww men, this flopped really hard.

    ReplyDelete
  14. And the curse of the SM idols in failure movies/dramas continues......

    ReplyDelete
  15. I saw the preview and it didn't look very promising so I'm not surprised. To date, the only recent dance movie from this decade that I somewhat like would be 'Step Up' (and not the sequel to it).

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lol I don't think her English is embarrasing and yes f*ck you for calling Yunho an ahjussi

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wait...
This is showing in America? o_o

    ReplyDelete
  18. did anyone expect yet another dance movie to do well ? (the answer is no) i like them but i don't spend money on them.

    ReplyDelete
  19. userwhoforgotpasswordApril 27, 2014 at 12:59 AM

lol omg honestly though no one would watch that. dance movies are so overdone that you need star-power to fuel it. neither boa or derek hough is enough for anyone to go watch it tbh

    ReplyDelete
  20. Boa herself is boring!

    ReplyDelete
  21. who is sponsor of this movie? one of it is sm?

    ReplyDelete
  22. So my friend and I went to go see 'Make Your Move' in theaters and ..... it just remained with me and my friend ....

The commenter is probably just a hater :3

    ReplyDelete
  24. oKAY YOU DO NOT GET MY BBY YUNHO AND CALL HIM AN AJHUSSHI /snaps fingers/ -__-

    ReplyDelete
  25. The day when sm movie and drama does well....

    ReplyDelete
  26. It's not even about the ferry accident, it's just that movies like this don't really sell well or they just go straight to dvd. Even people here knew that. Better luck next time though. and LOL @ the dancing ajusshi! XD

    ReplyDelete
  27. "And towards the half of the movie, I kept noticing this ajusshi dancing
and he looked familiar and it turned out to be TVXQ Yunho......"

    LOL SHADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yunho has got to be the hottest ahjussi then, 10/10 would bang
    whinge

    ReplyDelete
  29. sm also produced musical right?..dancing in raining? all main cast are sm idols

    ReplyDelete
  30. Her english is embarassing. She sounds like ahjuma when she speaks. Boa always fails when she does things related to America

    ReplyDelete
  31. Another not so surprising news. Dear NB are you going to translate any article about the PM of South Korea resigning from his post due to the ferry incident? I am really curious about the public's response.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Have you seen him lately, he is keeping the SK Botox industry afloat, lol.

    ducks from rabid fans.

    ReplyDelete
  33. boa's really at a difficult point in her career. her japan career is dead too (she can barely move 10K units nowadays) and her korean one is not much better. she's kinda living on her past fame. obviously she'll remain rich because she's owns sm stocks ?) but it is a bit disappointing considering how awesome she used to be.

the sad thing is she's been more in control of her career these past few years.

    ReplyDelete
  34. "Public response"?

    You mean some netizen comments.

    ReplyDelete
  35. isn't she going with acting these days? this flop, her drama and the other movie

    ReplyDelete
  36. The whole "danicing" concept has been done MILLION of times already
    it's un-original and not fresh.

    ReplyDelete
  37. yeah but no offense, but she isn't good lol she's actually talented musically so it's a bit disappointing that she's focusing on a field that she's not even good at.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Cause he looks like one lately ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    ReplyDelete
  39. then according to this logic, Won Bin should be called a grandpa

    ReplyDelete
  40. She's trying for a US career for years now (and obviously failing). If she'd go back to Japan or Korea, there's no doubt she'd be on top in no time at all.

    ReplyDelete
  41. No wonder

step up almost 10 ver. are enough plus this movie looks so dumb

    ReplyDelete
  42. agreed.

    She can dance, sing

but she's just boring.. sometimes she has them "bitch/mug face" like she's not that happy or something

    ReplyDelete
  43. Haha..knetz got nothing to give except hate..

    ReplyDelete
  44. I like bring it on (not the sequel tho)
my childhood nostalgia...everyone want to be d popular cheerleaders /sobs/

    ReplyDelete
  45. but she did go back to korea & japan after her american album flopped

    ReplyDelete
  46. yeah, I guess since her music career is over she has to do something and start acting, kinda sad because her albums are really good. The idol life is sad, once your group is dead you release solo albums and then you either go to acting or variety shows

    ReplyDelete
  47. Sorry, I meant stay there and actually try to revive her career, launch a huge promo and all the works.

    ReplyDelete
  48. krystal was in Heirs and High Kick both of which did extremely well. rather than saying your statement it should be that sm produced dramas and movies fail.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Funny cause even though critics disliked the movies a lot of them liked Boa.

    ReplyDelete
  50. it's weird because I never really saw her as an "idol" in the traditional sense. I think the problem is that she ignored the Korea market for too long and focused entirely on the Japanese market. Then when her japanese career started to tank, she went back to Korea but it was too late.

The american debut also didn't help.

    ReplyDelete
  51. For some reason i call him ahjussi too xd

    ReplyDelete
  52. i mean response as in what people in korea are saying not what foreigners are saying. like naver is a good place. most people go there.

    ReplyDelete
  53. [+82, -34] ㅋㅋㅋ From start to finish, even when dancing, she only has one facial expression ㅋㅋ and her English is so embarrassing.

I bet she speaks better english than this netizen. English is her third language, she's not great but she did well for a non-native speaker, I was pleasantly surprised when watching the movie because I expected her accent to be much thicker.

As for the movie itself.... I love BoA, but that movie was just a.... no.... just no.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Wrong producing, wrong casting, wrong market... Is it about a dancer? Should have casted Victoria, made a story about a pretty balerrina giving up on her career as a ballet dancer to pursue a career in Korea and released it in China.

    ReplyDelete
  55. SM so dumb to think another dance movie would be successful

I guess they didn't know it's so out of trend.. No one goes to watch movies about dancing anymore SM/Boa lol

    ReplyDelete
  56. A movie I would go watch tbh.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Isn't that good? being subjective and not biassed

    ReplyDelete
  58. she's always been an idol to me, like rain, lee hyori and se7en. But yeah ia with you, her title tracks do well digitally tho

her american album was really good, too bad it didn't work

    ReplyDelete
  59. They're still the public though.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Dance movies are a complete no no for critics cause most of it is dancing. The plot and characters are always zzzzz

    ReplyDelete
  61. Did some people actually think that this was going to be a "hit"? LOLOL

    ReplyDelete
  62. Krystal rare..

but 90% of the time SM fails

    ReplyDelete
  63. Dance movies in general don't do well so I'm not even surprised. BoA's acting & English really have nothing to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I guess. Its just unny cause these netizens are blaming in on Boa when some critics actually thought she was the best part of the film

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yeah I think so...but musical is better since the fans can just buy tickets and watch..for movies and dramas to be successful, public is needed....I'm anticipating the musical tho

    ReplyDelete
  66. More like anything SM produces, not necessarily anything their actors or idols are in.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Lol Which sequel? Bring It On had like 4 or 5 of them.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Uhhh Yoona starred in You Are My Destiny and that hit 41% in ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Don't they usually mean the popular opinion of the public (random sample) in a statistical sense? Netizen comments are not really randomized. Particularly biased people choose to comment on certain articles that attract them.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I thought the Step Up movies do fairly well

    ReplyDelete
  71. Rotten Tomatoes 43 % IMDB 5.9

Oh well, I'm gonna check it out.. NOT

    ReplyDelete
  72. she really isn't lol I used to be a stan during her glory days circa 2004 and she has a really playful personality. she just rarely went on variety shows in korea

    ReplyDelete
  73. They are stuck in 2007.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I don't understand this "she's boring" statement? Have you not seen this girl perform? Especially in her tours?!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I also like the one with Omarion in it. Can't remember the name, but the dancing was sick.

    ReplyDelete
  76. The plot of the movie is cheesy as fuck. No doubt about that. However you must admit that BoA's dancing is super fucking good. And her English isn't THAT awkward, she can speak better than most of the native Korean celebrities at least lol.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Yes Naver is a good place to see netizen reactions. At least it's more general than other sites.

    ReplyDelete
  78. The thing is, she doesn't have the Hyori factor. Despite being an actual "ahjumma" now that she is married, Hyori can still go on a Gayo stage in underwear and people will not blink an eye.

BoA on the other hand, despite her younger age, just screams old. She doesn't dress appropriately for her stature, doesn't focus on the right projects and just seems very plain.

She lost out on Japan. The Korean fans moved on, and her American attempt was a huge failure. She is the female Kangta. Relegated to SM Elder Status and trotted out for show.

    ReplyDelete
  79. The only step movies that did well were the first 2, after that no. Step Up 1 with Channing Tatum was years ago. Dance based movies really don't do that well.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Watch your language.

    ReplyDelete
  81. yeah it's kinda wasting time for her to pursue acting and she's better sticks to singing and produce more awesome songs to keep maintaining her possition as she used to be..

    ReplyDelete
  82. Boring as in her personality, not her ability to perform.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think thats called a census lol.

    ReplyDelete
  84. "They barely promoted it "
    I beg to differ.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I would be surprised if this was actually selling....

    ReplyDelete
  86. umm hyori is still relevant because she actively promoted in korea. hyori never attempted to release stuff in japan or overseas. boa, on the other hand, was way more active in japan than korea during the height of her fame. it's understandable why it's harder for her than hyori.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Or public surveys.

    ReplyDelete
  88. How dare that person say that. Gonna cut a bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  89. You mean You Got Served? That's the only dance movie I can think of that he was in unless there was another one.
If you do mean that one then the dancing was good, but the movie's actual plot & acting were both bad.

    ReplyDelete
  90. The style in the movie was so 2007/2008

    HELLO fashion has change.
Boa is still wearing them Harlem pants and having braids.

everything was just so OUTDATED, it's not even funny..

SM do your fucking research. Just go for something with a GOOD PLOT instead of striving to be TRENDY.

    ReplyDelete
  91. IKR?! except from all the dancing... everything else are all boring. It'd be better to just watch the performance clips on youtube.

    ReplyDelete
  92. A porno would have had a better plot.

    Who wrote the shit anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  93. yeah and hyori has a strong personality it's not only about how actively she is but about her charms and straightforward attitude

    ReplyDelete
  94. Ride Ride Pony Tonight~April 27, 2014 at 1:21 AM

I'm not surprised. That kind of movies never do well anyways, the plots are all similar.

    ReplyDelete
  95. and not to mention she owns some buildings.. she won't go bankrupt any time soon.

    ReplyDelete
  96. if this movie is part of sm production.. does't do well is x something new.hope to see boa comeback.

    ReplyDelete
  97. sounds more of a fanfiction to me. lol. too fairy tale-ish~

    ReplyDelete
  98. besides him dancing, i found the whole entire clip so awkward lol

    ReplyDelete
  99. I'TS NOT THAT SURPRISING.

HOW WOULD THINK A OUTDATED DANCE MOVIE WOULD BE SUCCESSFUL.

    ReplyDelete
  100. She's releasing a full Japanese album this summer/fall, and most likely a full Korean album next year. Her music career is far from over...

Only One sold really well, physically and digitally.

    ReplyDelete
  101. That's right the only interesting thing is the dancing. XD

    ReplyDelete
  102. Why? It would be based on a true story lol

    ReplyDelete
  103. she can release 10 albums that doesn't mean they'll do well, and 34,000+ copies isn't really good for someone like her.... and I did mention her title tracks do well digitally

    ReplyDelete
  104. a reeaaally really hot ahjussi then..

    http://37.media.tumblr.com/89b0d265ccbb71ee85cb13fa1d986ba4/tumblr_mj74t5B4cg1rvz6cio1_400.gif

    ReplyDelete
  105. i think it has a lot to do with the fact that she debuted at such a young age...it's like her life has been fast forwarded way too quick, which is causing her to live off her past. of course there are stories of other celebs who have debuted young and are still successful, but right now seems a bit too hard to see for boa. hopefully she can prove me wrong b/c i really liked her when i first started listening to kpop in the earlier days :'(

    ReplyDelete
  106. dance movies are only good for the 5 dollar bin's at walmart.

    ReplyDelete
  107. No offense, but that wasn't that good. Have you seen episodes of SYTYCD (search on YT). American audiences would have been laughing hard. If that is the highlight of the movie, then it's clear why it tanked.

Sorry, it might be good for Kpop fans, but the dance lacked definition. It was poorly choreographed and executed.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I wonder how young is that poor soul is... calling a 28 year old man Ahjussi

    ReplyDelete
  109. And she's still just 28! She should try going to a different company. Srsly, hehe. But that won't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Yes its You Got Served. Dancing was awesome. I watced it when I wss younger and I remember enjoying the movie. The plot is probably bad but I was mainly there for the dancing anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  111. But it's not even the mainlight of the movie, lol. BoA's the main, Yunho is just cameoing

    ReplyDelete
  112. Also, I've noticed that some NBs claim Yahoo Japan doesn't represent the Japanese public. I agree. Internet comments usually don't. But do they say the same thing for K-nets? Yahoo Japan is the most used web portal in Japan and the comments are often dripping with ugly nationalism. Top nationalistic comments there can even get 50,000 up votes. Would they still call it 'public response'?

    ReplyDelete
  113. He's turning into a hot ahjussi though, so I don't really mind. :)

    ReplyDelete
  114. sounds interesting lol I would definitely watch. more room for different plot than a basic dance movie

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yes, I added the example. What about that?

    ReplyDelete
  116. didn't we all see this coming lol just from the trailers you could see that it was going to flop.....

    ReplyDelete
  117. She was so boring in Rm

    ReplyDelete
  118. 43%. Not bad. Johnny Depp's newest film scored half of that, I think. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  119. Boa's english was embarrassing? WHAT.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Laughing because, we're pretty much saying that Nappytabs did a subpar job this time considering they were choreographers for the movie.

    ReplyDelete
  121. In 2012, Yunho and Changmin went on a show, and an elementary student filmed a cheer for them and called them "Dong Bang Shin Ki ahjussis." The whole cast/crew burst out laughing 'cause Changmin was only 24 and already called ahjussi by a child. LMAO

    ReplyDelete
  122. 43% they were being generous.

    ReplyDelete
  123. The strange thing is that she keeps flopping at this u.s thing but always gets a pass on it while others get ridiculed at every chance

    ReplyDelete
  124. She said runningman that 'music fairy' episode was her first variety show. I shocked honestly. No wonder these days sm sticks their artists in a lot fields like MCing and variety shows. It seems they dont want to their artists totally failed if the next day their albums don't sell well.

    ReplyDelete
  125. The first was always d best <3 not really liking the sequel & prequel, all looked d same

    ReplyDelete
  126. A lot of guests in runningman were so boring. Maybe because their original casts already good. Sometimes RM's PDs dont casted guests, hahhahaha~~~

    ReplyDelete
  127. the fact that this comment is so high is because her fanbase isnt as big anymore. Kinda feels like Avril Lavigne outside of Japan, its jst passé.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Eh? That's her life story..

    ReplyDelete
  129. she focused on japan back then.. her promo activities in korea were the bare minimum for her album releases. like I remember there used to be criticism about about how she never went to the year end korean music shows because she always prioritized the japanese ones (like kohaku)

    ReplyDelete
  130. ...and as mentioned, have you watched behind the scene clips of her?

    ReplyDelete
  131. thats irrelevant lol. Her new songs and stages are pretty boring to me, nothing new or revolutionizing, but Running Man ep was boring was because of the PD. There are always some really good episodes and some really bad ones (like last week ...) depending of whos directing and writing.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Honestly, i just don't like this genre of movie. Whoever casted. Sorry..

    ReplyDelete
  133. more like produce. we kinda expect her to keep making a big statement like before, but its always the same thing we heard from years before. Her originality seems to fail and the PERFECT example was what she produced with Gil for the IC song festival. Everyone was trying to make something new or at least entertaining, but she jst made the plainest pop-dance song I have ever heard.

    ReplyDelete
  134. she's plain. her style is very plain and typical.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I expected it to do bad. No one really knows who BoA is over here, movie was supposed to be out years ago, there was no real hype and on top of that it's not a dance movie with Step Up written in the title.

    ReplyDelete
  136. It was a zillion years ago. And it was a weekend drama. Her three recent dramas flopped so hard.

    ReplyDelete
  137. can I get a crash course on how to spot someone with botox o.O
I am never sure if its fat, makeup, lighting or botox injection?

like people usually want to tone their face to highlight, so i thought the extra cheek fat was because they ate something the night before that made it swell.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Filming started in 2011 and SM didn't make it, it was made Duane Adler.

    ReplyDelete
  139. 99% of korean dramas are all fairy tail. happy ending, perfect personality characters. and the rich guy go cray for poor girl.

    ReplyDelete
  140. rather than watch it in the cinema, I'll wait patiently until they release the dvd. watch it in the cinema wouldn't be enough, because for this kind of movie, I like to repeat the dance part (forget the story, that's a same old one obviously)..

    ReplyDelete
  141. The fact is albums in South Korea doesn't sell well unless you're in an idol group nowadays (few exceptions). 34k in this day and age, especially for a solo artist, in South Korea is really great. Psy who made millions off "Gangnam Style" only sold 60k of the actual album.

There's plenty of artists who don't sell as well as they use to in the past, but there music careers are far from over as long as they keep releasing music for the people who will still buy it.

    ReplyDelete
  142. that's bcoz of the man lead

    ReplyDelete
  143. this is so true... he looks much older than his age imo idk if its his laugh lines or what, or maybe the way his stylist try to give him bowl cuts that look awful >.<

    ReplyDelete
  144. It really wasn't promoted in America anyways. The only channels I would see commercials for it were Korean channels.

    ReplyDelete
  145. "And towards the half of the movie, I kept noticing this ajusshi dancing and he looked familiar and it turned out to be TVXQ Yunho......"

    Omg I can't breathe xD!!

    ReplyDelete
  146. Rather than typical or plain, her style is pretty laid back and not all glitz and glam like your typical idol. Which is why she appeals to me.

    ReplyDelete
  147. sorry but 43% is pretty low.... i'm already hesitant to watch anything below 70% let alone in the 40's....

    ReplyDelete
  148. You're telling me Prime Minister and I flopped because of /Lee Beom Soo/? You must be delusional.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I'm just curious why suddenly she is going downhill when her songs are always good all along? What caused this?

    ReplyDelete
  150. This ain't got nothing to do with the topic at hand but did y'all know they're making another Step Up movie?

    ReplyDelete
  151. The dance routine is kinda Boring imo

    ReplyDelete
  152. SM wanted to push her in a America and then after that didn't work she took year hiatus. You can't really take long breaks otherwise you'll lose your status.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I watched her in IC and to be honest she is kinda boring I almost forgot she's there I always look past her

    ReplyDelete
  154. But she never went to kohaku right?? korean artis who ever performed in kohaku is Tohoshinki, Kara and SJSD (correct me if I'm wrong)

    ReplyDelete
  155. no. she was a regular there before. wiki tells me she's attended 6 times.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C5%8Dhaku_Uta_Gassen#Notable_acts_in_Japanese_Entertainment_on_K.C5.8Dhaku

    ReplyDelete
  156. it is too much of age difference , almost no chemistry and in the end YoonA and Lee bum soo only hold hand? as a couple.. They don't feel like couple at all

    ReplyDelete
  157. Well you're here now sista.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I guess no one involved with the production got the memo that dance movies like this are so last decade.

    ReplyDelete
  159. PFFT, I am judging 6 so hard right now.

Also, BoA's english wasn't that bad the last time I heard it (I haven't watched the movie tho). She's definitely better than a lot of other idols...

    ReplyDelete
  160. She still make way more money than you or your favorite

    ReplyDelete
  161. So like a biography? Would it have some fictional elements and perhaps a love interest? Lol I would watch it.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I'm not saying they represent all of the public just saying they're still considered the public.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I see now. It's sad cause i find almost all of her songs are good. She should have stay famous.

    ReplyDelete
  164. so bcos of JGS kwon sang woo and lee bum soo?

    ReplyDelete
  165. I hope NB translate article about Korea Movies regularly esp the box offices ones,

    ReplyDelete
  166. For music festival next year i hope they cast hyori lol it's gonna be hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  167. You know, I'm not even going to bother downloading this.

    ReplyDelete
  168. our theaters took this movie down after two weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Curse of SM. I don't think it is anything to do with the Ferry Disaster. Plus it's available online already that should tell you something.

  170. I've seen him in person this year and i can say no botox, he looks normal, handsome guy tbh. And wasn't this movie from 3 years ago?

  171. Movie was so boring.

  172. I'm saying it can be misleading if you say 'public response' when you should say 'netizen reaction' regardless of your true inner intention. Are NB nets considered the public, too?

  173. Who is surprised? It's a crappy movie and it was already released in the rest of the world eons ago. The few people in Korea with an interest in it could have pirated it last year.

  174. Boa,please stop trying to act. Stick to your strengths, cause acting isn't one of them.

  175. typical bitter comment.

  176. this movie could have done better if the synopsis wasn't a dud. i mean seriously, another dance movie?

  178. Dance movie should be about inspiring too but I'm not feeling it and I haven't watch this kind of movies for years. They're just focusing on the dances and lacking the emotional twist. The last movie I enjoyed watching although not really that great was Coyote Ugly, not a dance movie but hey after more than a decade all still have the same plot.
LOL Yunho welcome to the ahjussi club, enjoy your stay with the Shinhwa hyungs.

  179. It just seems like another "Step Up" kind of movie.

They've released soo many movies similar to it that people are getting bored with the recycled formula: Hot Boy meets hot girl > Oh wow! What a surprise, they both dance well >There has to be some kind of rivalry > Peeps wanna have a dance off > boy and girl hook up > Fin.

  180. because she's basically old news. in any country's entertainment industry it's difficult to hang on for more than a few years, let alone 10 or 15. and Korea and Japan are very trend oriented, so for artists that were originally marketed to teens, you're going to have a hard time staying relevant.

  181. They said she was quite okay during her 2 part drama special and now they say she's not good at acting wtf

  182. just look at kwon sang woo and JGS latest dramas, medical top and bel ami had really low ratings, go check it yourself. Perhaps most people who watched 'Prime minister and I' was yoona's fans not LBS

  184. Hyori also has an actual personality. BoA is boring as a brick wall, despite all her technical talent. she's basically SM's robot queen (which seems to be the case for a lot of SM artists).

  185. she was really awkward in that drama she acted with siwan and daniel. she definitely do not have the talent to be an actress. unless she works really hard on it or go for lots for classes, i dont think she is gonna make it as an actress.
she has quite a talent for music, she should go into producing. what a waste of her time on acting.

  186. Well it's another dance movie so i guess people are not interested anymore.
I saw a bit of her acting and she was ok imo, not great. The script is clearly boring.
But as long as SM will keep thinking that all you have to do to be a good actor/actress is being pretty then they will fail in that department.
I think other SM artists would be more suited for acting but since they are not visuals they won't get a chance.

  187. Irrelevant but today is THSK 9th Anniversary!!! So proud of them..From singing on the stairways to Dome Tour and Nissan...
Either 5 or 2, they are doing an amazing job.

  188. yep. i think most of the sm artistes are like that though. they give off an air of supremacy. boa, snsd. if not for the packaging, i dont even think they would have got to where they are right now.
